VESICA PISCIS
The vesica piscis is the sacred symbol of twin flame(syzygy), it is the symbol of the sacred marriage or re-union of the twin flame (male and female, yin and yang) in the bridal chamber. It represents the mingling or merging/re-union of opposites, Male and female, Light and darkness. In esoteric thought, it represents dualism, good and evil mixed together.
The oldest discovery of the Vesica Piscis dates back over 7000 years and was found in the Temple of Ausar(Osiris) in Abydos , Egypt (Kemet). Ancient Kemet mathematicians use this symbol in sacred buildings.
Spirituallly, if we recognize the circle on its own as Source Energy (God or Goddess), the Vesica Piscis represents creation or the “womb of The Universe.” Think of a single circle as Source Energy, adding a second circle represents the spark of creation when the universe is born. This idea is enforced with its similarities to the shape of the vagina, The starting place of birth on a human level. It is enforced again by the fact that it is the starting place of most sacred geometry.
This is why the Vesica Piscis symbol is considered very sacred. On a spiritual level, it represents creation, birth, and the joining of spiritual and physical. Take this a step further, and without the Vesica Piscis, sacred geometry would not exist, and we would not exist.
The Vesica Piscis symbol is comprised of two overlapping circles that form an almond shape in the center, also called a “mandorla.” Though the coming together of these circles may look simple, its meaning is profoundly powerful.
Vesica Piscis translates to “bladder of the fish” in Latin also known as the "vessel of the fish". This not so flattering or mystical name was given to it due to its similar appearance to a fish bladder. The Italian phrase “mandorla,” or almond, refers to the shape created in the center.
The almond shape of the Vesica Piscis mirrors the form of the female yoni/vagina. If you’re trying to call in more feminine energy or connect to Goddess energy place an image of or create the shape of the Vesica Piscis on your altar. Placing this symbol in an area you use often can uplift the space and bring in more feminine energy. Try enhancing the shape by adorning your space with other symbols and objects that represent femininity like a cowrie shell, carnelian, rose quartz, or roses.
The sacred symbol of vesica piscis is deeper than you can imagine. Its esoteric meaning is classified into four major sacred interpretations:
1. the union of heaven and Earth with us,
the union of spirit and matter as life and creation on Earth, the upper world meeting the lower world.
2.the root element of the flower of life
3. the womb of the "cosmic mother," Goddess Maat
4. the re-union/merging of the twin flame,(syzygy), God and Goddess, male and female, ying and yang. The joining of male and female to bring forth divine offspring is the essence of the universe and creation.
When two equal circles are joined so that the perimeter of one passes the epicenter of the other, it produces a third, intermediate section, which resembles the shape of a fish or almond, this is the symbol of vesica piscis.
This symbol was used in the mysteries to show the unification of divine principles.
In the Ausar story, the lost penis was swallowed by a fish which represented the vulva of Auset. The versica piscis teaches how to attain completion and perfection through balance,t throughthis, creation flourishes.
Goddess Ma’at, the Cosmic Mother who oversees the order of the world and restores chaos. She brings the Universe into balance.
The vesica piscis also represent the vagina of the goddess Ma’at. When the male seed is planted into the female ovary, their creation grows in the womb.
In Sacred Geometry, the Vesica Pisces is the beginning of the seed of life, which then becomes the flower of life.
The vesica piscis symbol was stolen and adopted by the Roman Vatican church. Fish/vesica piscis was the earliest symbol of Christianity before the church adopted the cross. Christianity also stole this symbol as the symbol of fish and vulva, it is the origin of Jesus' fish, You can find this sacred symbol in almost every image of the Christian saints and also in the architecture of churches. In Washington Dc, US capital. The obelisk monument is erected there and it represents the male phallus and it is also erected/esconced perfectly in the Vesica Piscis symbol, the female vagina.
A phallus symbol is actually esoteric symbol for the active principle; the seed of life/an idea, reason and willpower while the vesica piscis, being a feminine symbol, represents the female principle;the womb, portal of life, fertility, nurturing and patience.
The obelisk monument also carries the symbol of the Vertica Piscis in its architecture |
